See?, I’m always tellin ya, fast food doesn’t have to be junk food and this burger proves that!

Around The World Black Bean Burgers
What you’ll need …
- 1 can black beans
- 1/2 can garbanzo beans
- 1/2 can corn (low sodium)
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons cornmeal
Method …
- Using a food processor, blend together the black beans and garbanzo beans. Then transfer to a large bowl.
- Pour in all other ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
- Shape into patties. Then, over medium-high heat, cook with a little olive oil until browned on both sides.
- Serve with with your favorite toppings on a sprouted whole wheat bun!

Ok, ok, ok so I’m not really being truthful this week… that’s right… it’s not really “Burger” Of The Week. No, instead it’s a mahoosive 32 “burgers of the week!” That’s right, 32 burger recipes which should keep you going all summer or (if you’re in you’re in the southern hemisphere) winter!
Like I always say, fast food doesn’t have to be junk food and making you’re own burgers is fun, saves money and at least you know where the ingredients come from!
So say “adios” to all that salt, sodium and fat that you get in some burgers from many burger chains and heat up that griddle or bbq and check out the meat and veggie burgers in this epic and über list of “Burgers Of The Week!”

Crappy photo of an amazing veggie burger I just made. I usually am not full of myself after cooking but this has been my first big success in a while.
Ingredients:
