Burger Of The Week! It’s a stonking and epic congrats this week to back2basicsblog for being this week’s Burger Of The Week here at “Just Burgers - The Web’s Best Flippin’ Burger Blog”! Not only do we have an own recipe which is always good to see, but also a side helping of home-made chips too! As back2basicsblog says, with home cooking you cook healthier that you get from some fast food places and as I often say, “eating in is the new eating out” and yuo save money too! So once again it’s an über congrats to back2basicsblog for being this week’s “Burger Of The Week! … and here’s the recipe ► Skinny burger and chips To make my burger and chips healthier I dropped the bread, made my own chips with little oil and grilled my burgers, oh, and stacked up the salad! Still to be enjoyed, but not full of terrible unhealthy ingredients you get from fast food take aways. Bread is fine to have with these burgers though, I just decided to go without. I also made these with half a 400g pack of mince beef that I got on offer in a supermarket. The other half was for my chilli con carne. 200g mince beef 1/2 white onion finely chopped 1 garlic clove 1 large potato salad seasoning 1 tbsp oil Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, and grill to a medium heat,Put the oil in an oven tray with short sides or a roasting tray, and pop in the oven for about 10 minutes to get hot.  Chop the potato into chip shapes (halve it, then slice down each half again, then halve each piece you have cut)Put the potato in the hot oven tray (this will spit a bit so be very careful) and season, tossing the potato in the oil to coat all over.Put in the oven for 25 minutes or until brown, turning half way.Whilst they are cooking, add the onion and garlic to the mince. … and here’s the recipe ► Skinny burger and chips

To make my burger and chips healthier I dropped the bread, made my own chips with little oil and grilled my burgers, oh, and stacked up the salad! black bean burger

Around The World Black Bean Burgers

What you’ll need …

  • 1 can black beans
  • 1/2 can garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 can corn (low sodium)
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons cornmeal

Method …

  1. Using a food processor, blend together the black beans and garbanzo beans. Then transfer to a large bowl.
  2. Pour in all other ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
  3. Shape into patties. Then, over medium-high heat, cook with a little olive oil until browned on both sides.
  4. Serve with with your favorite toppings on a sprouted whole wheat bun!

Burger Of The Week - Chicken Burger With A Drizzle Of Honey Recipe!
